The T20 World Cup Points Table is based on the ICC System where each team is awarded 2 points for win during group stages. In case of a draw during the group stage, winner shall be decided through super over. The T20 World Cup points table 2020 shows current T20 World Cup teams standings with updated team rankings for all 12 teams in Group 1 and 2 during Super-12 Stage. Two teams with most number of win and points from each group are considered qualified for the Knock-out stage or semi-finals as we all know. An overview of what happens to the points table during group stage and what happens after is given in depth below:

Group stage

*** If points are equal, the team with the most wins will be placed in the higher position.
*** If there are teams with equal points and equal wins, the team with the higher net run rate will be placed in the higher position.
*** If still equal, then the team with the higher number of wickets taken per fair balls bowled in the matches played in which results were achieved will be placed in the higher position.
*** If still equal then the team position will be determined by drawing lots.
